Christmas hampers deliver some festive cheer
Nearly 300 vulnerable customers have benefitted from a Christmas cost-of-living hamper thanks to funding from our Community Grants Panel and generous donations from local partners.
Initiatives like this are only possible because of the support of our volunteer community, which includes individuals from our three local Mc Donald’s Ronald Ranger Teams, Holland & Barrett and Prestec.
A total of 150 volunteer hours have been donated to pack and distribute the hampers. Items have been kindly donated by Nestle, Holland & Barrett and Tesco to make the hampers even more useful.
In addition, colleagues have generously donated toiletries, pet food, chocolate and tinned goods.
We’ve been providing these hampers for five years now and I hope they help to ease some of the increased costs and worry often experienced during the Christmas season.
Any remaining donations are shared via our community fridge projects.
