Burton affordable homes scheme wins regional best large social housing development
A Burton housing development, providing 70 affordable homes, has been announced as a regional winner in the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards 2023.
Forest Heights was built by award-winning property developer Peveril Homes, who delivered the affordable housing scheme for regional housing provider, Trent & Dove and has been crowned Best Large Social Housing Development for the West Midlands region.
The development won the award due to the high-quality design and construction, energy-efficient features, and positive impact on the local area. It consists of two-bedroom bungalows and a range of one, two, three, and four-bedroom two-storey homes for rent and shared ownership to address the local area’s housing needs.
The first Trent & Dove customers moved in, in January 2022 and the final set of keys were handed over in May 2023.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards are the largest business-to-business awards in the building control sector within the UK. Their network covers all local authorities and is divided into 12 regional areas across England and Wales.
The final awards ceremony, where the grand finalists in each category will be announced, will take place on Friday 19 January (2024) at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.
