Trent & Dove secure £800,000 grant money to improve energy efficiency for their customers

Trent & Dove is one of seven social landlords to have secured government funding enabling improvements to 905 residents’ homes across the Midlands and South West.

The consortium known as Matrix Housing Partnership was awarded £12 million worth of grant funding to assist with works including cavity wall insulation, installing new windows and doors, loft insulation, and measures to improve ventilation in customers’ homes. The works are targeted to upgrade older properties owned by the partnership, so that they have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of at least C.

Trent & Dove will use its £800,000 grant to provide additional energy efficiency benefits to approximately 80 of our homes, targeting those with an EPC rating below C. The majority of the homes are bungalows and houses in rural areas not connected to the main gas grid. Work will start this autumn on the first homes in Abbotts Bromley, Draycott in the Clay, Branston and Stapenhill.
