Trent & Dove announces rent review for 2025 in line with Government guidelines

We continue to provide our customers with high-quality service, ensuring we deliver on our mission of Providing affordable homes and services that enable people and communities to thrive.

In addition to the standard landlord service paid for by rent and any service charges, where applicable, we provide a range of community services and support for all our customers and communities.

As the cost of living continues to impact customers, we continue to experience increases in the costs of materials, labour, and running our services, which in some cases have increased by more than 20 per cent in the last year.

Rents will increase by 2.7% this year, which is in line with the government's Rent Setting Policy and Regulatory Standards. This adjustment alignswith the September 2024 Consumer Price Index 1.7% (CPI) plus 1%,as stipulated by the guidelines for social landlords.

Ursula Bennion, Chief Executive at Trent & Dove, said:

“At Trent & Dove, my priority is always to provide high-quality safe, secure and warm homes along with support services that help our customers and communities.

“We fully understand the financial pressures many households face due to the rising cost of living. That’s why, we work hard to offer good value for money to our customers and ensure we maintain high quality homes. This year’s rent increase is significantly lower than last year, at 2.7%, in line with Government guidelines.

“This modest adjustment has been approved by our Board and Customer Committee to enable us to continue investing in our homes, services, and communities.

“We remain committed to reaching our target for building new homes and improving our existing homes. We continue to offer a wide range of community services, including our Warm Space Cafés, Coffee Connect Trailer, and Community Grants Panel.

“Our goal is to balance affordability with the long-term sustainability of the services and homes we deliver, ensuring we’re here to support our customers now and in the future.”

To ensure transparency and provide support to our customers, we are committed to delivering all necessary information ahead of the changes.
