Guests have their say on latest Tyldesley Court plans

Founder members of our Tyldesley Court development continue to shape the future of our £21.3 million scheme in Burton town centre.
As part of our mission to provide homes and services that enable people and communities to thrive , we are keen to engage the local community and invite them to have a say in our ongoing Tyldesley Court scheme.
Following the launch of our Founders’ group last year, in which guests could choose between a selection of kitchen designs, we recently held a second drop-in event at the Meadowside Leisure Centre.
We welcomed 130 attendees who were invited to choose the décor for the communal lounges. They also have an exclusive first-look at our brand-new brochure.
Artist impressions and the latest floor plans were also displayed, allowing guests to gain valuable insight into the ongoing independent living development.
Trent & Dove colleagues from D evelopment, Independent Living. Lettings and Community Engagement also addressed enquiries .
Tyldesley Court, which is being built by developer Morro, will consist of 72 high-quality independent living apartments for over 55s .
Homes England is supporting the build with grant funding via our strategic partnership with Orbit Group. The development is set for completion this summer.
Tyldesley Court is famously the site of the former Bargates Shopping Centre, which was demolished in 2012 and lay empty for 10 years until we took ownership.
We installed 198 metres of hoarding, showcasing the land's history , during the construction phase.
Trent & Dove’s Independent Living New Services Manager , Samantha Yates, said:
"It’s fantastic to see the community actively shaping the future of Tyldesley Court! Engaging local residents in key design choices ensures the development truly reflects their needs and preferences.
“ The turnout at the latest event highlights strong community interest, and it’s great that attendees had the opportunity to see the progress firsthand.
“We are l ooking forward to seeing the finished apartments and the positive impact they will have on independent living in Burton .”
Members of the public who have not yet registered their interest in the scheme are invited to do so by signing up to the Tyldesley Court webpage here: https://www.trentanddove.org/tyldesleycourt
This does not guarantee an offer for a home. However, this will mean they receive email updates from us in relation to the next steps including dates for our future founders’ groups.
