Big success for our summer fun days

Balloon animals and facepainting

A big thank you to everyone who supported and attended our fun days over the summer holidays!

We were thrilled to welcome more than 1,000 people to our Stapenhill event alone, with hundreds more joining us at our Uttoxeter and Horninglow fun days.

There were some fantastic balloon animals, and families also tried their hand at willow weaving and creating origami, thanks to the People Express.

We also had some adorable llamas join us, and the Burton Albion Community Trust kept the energy up with their popular Beat the Goalie competition (below).

Children and adults got creative with seed bomb making, crafting mixtures of seeds that will eventually bloom into beautiful flowers.

And if that wasn’t enough, there were inflatables, falconry displays, magic shows, and storytelling to keep everyone entertained.

Our Coffee Connect van was on-site to provide refreshments, serving over 300 cups of tea and coffee at Stapenhill alone! Plus, McDonald’s raised an amazing £256 for Ronald McDonald House.

We also partnered with Central Midlands Cooperative to host two cooking sessions using our generously donated slow cookers, where attendees learned to create low-cost, sustainable meals.

And, of course, no summer event is complete without a delicious BBQ – we had lots of burgers to go around.

We loved every moment and can't wait to see everyone again next time!
